Just another cat in a whole spate of catnappings, going off to who knows what fate, which I couldn't bear to think about. Then we got a simple black and white lady called Rosie, and had to have her put down last year due to stomach cancer. I cry even now, thinking about her, want another, but can't bear the thought of all that sadness again. I will just admire your cats, and others.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4493398068080107368.post-16772677832965425502011-01-13T18:13:46.161-08:002011-01-13T18:13:46.161-08:00It has been good weather to watch the cats watchin...It has been good weather to watch the cats watching the birds. Beautiful cats and what lovely patchwork you do!
These photo were taken last Saturday, when we did have a few glimpses of sunshine. Sunday was even better, but we have been back to grey rain ever since.

Rowan - Old Dog is very tolerant of the kitten. He loves all the cats and they exchange rubs and licks whenever they pass each other. Lucy has played with his wagging tail once or twice, and I have seen her dart under his tummy as though going under a bridge, but he is a bit too sedate to encourage too much activity!

WOL - Forest Cat is of the Norwegian Forest Cat breed. He is very beautiful and is the gentlest of all our cats. Norwegian Forests are an interesting breed and there is information about them if you do an internet search. Our boy was a stray. He had , we think, been dumped in our nearest New Forest car park and had made his way to us, the nearest house, across the heath. He was thin, miserable and hungry when I found him in the hay barn. We were unable to trace his owners, so he stayed and seems very happy with his lot!Dartford Warblerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04352965211143836326noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4493398068080107368.post-20182602420506813082011-01-12T16:50:54.962-08:002011-01-12T16:50:54.962-08:00My two males regularly "playfight" with ...My two males regularly "playfight" with each other and chase each other from one end of the house to the other. The black one wants to play fight with my little female, but she's not having any of it (he's a little bully, actually).

Forest Cat has lovely markings and such luxuriously long fur -- I hope he likes being brushed! Lucy seems to have quite a lively personality -- a little imp!WOLhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03775462248193876148noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4493398068080107368.post-6659512360995621492011-01-12T10:19:36.049-08:002011-01-12T10:19:36.049-08:00What lovely cats - how does Old Dog feel about pla...What lovely cats - how does Old Dog feel about playing with kittens?Rowanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13679130612798888266noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4493398068080107368.post-21570745423955780912011-01-12T08:57:00.737-08:002011-01-12T08:57:00.737-08:00Delightful!Delightful!Kathhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04003521059890699861noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4493398068080107368.post-7236419590961675352011-01-12T08:56:50.460-08:002011-01-12T08:56:50.460-08:00What's the strange light you have in your room...What's the strange light you have in your room, it looks like sunshine, please send to Sussex, we are drowning in gloom and have been all week.
Love the sequence of photo's.
As you will see from my blog, we have 5 of the little monkeys. And dogs are mostly just bemused....rachelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00474723200653576051noreply@blogger.com
