This lovely little coloured filly was born about three weeks ago. Her mother has been around here for years, but last year her owner took her to meet his coloured stallion back on his farm. The filly will be a New Forest cross and should be taller than her mother`s 13.2hh. Already she is sturdy and alert.
I took some photos of her one evening last week as she grazed, fed and played out on the Forest. The mare is thin this spring, but the grass is growing now. Her owner hopes to get her in so that she and the foal can graze on the watermeadows this summer.

What a pretty little filly, nicely marked too - love her half a blaze! Snowy will be glad to have some lusher grass to eat, I don't doubt.
she is gorgeous, I wonder if she will go darker? Her little blaze is very unusual, it look almost as though I has slipped down her nose. I shall look forward to seeing her grow up, I hope you will be able to follow her progress.
I read this when you posted, but realized I had been too witless to comment.
I haven't seen a horse marked like the little filly. I hope you'll be able to take more photos of her as she matures.
Is the mare of an age where this might be her last foal?
I shall always wish J. had allowed Pebbles a foal--surely her good disposition should have been passed on. She is such a pet.
