Lucy and the Frozen Planet

Lucy is sixteen months old now. No longer a kitten but still so curious about the world and full of energy. In the photo above, she was caught taking over the dog`s bed. Old Dog had been banished to the floor underneath the table.

Here she is, watching David Attenborough`s wonderful natural history series, Frozen Planet.

Investigating a baby seal.....

....and watching a polar bear who was waiting to catch a fish from beneath the ice.

Lucy is lovely - I hope Old Dog thinks so too:) DH got the DVD as a present from our daughter so we'll be watching it over the New Year I think, hope we find it as fascinating as Lucy does!

Clearly an intelligent cat. But then, aren't they all?

Wonderful photos.
Lucy should share.... my dogs can be found curled up together for a nap especially when it is cold outside.

I saw a Japanese video of several kittens watching on TV a Japanese Ice Skater competing. Their little heads moved with him and every once in a while they would touch the screen.
I thought maybe they wanted to catch him and eat the "mouse" but who knows.

cheers, parsnip

My lot see the TV as a way of getting me to lie on the couch so they can lie on me. So far, that has been a satisfactory arrangement.

Over the years we've had several cats who noticed the tv. One in particular delighted in a short nature segment which was used as a 'filler' between programs on a public television station.
Chessie would rush to the screen to 'chatter' at the birds, then to swipe at the squirrels. Particularly appealing was when she would peer behind the tv expecting to find the busy creatures lurking there.
Your Lucy is a dear--even if she isn't considerate of Old Dog.
