Hot Cats and a Thirsty Woodpecker

One hot afternoon last week, the cats sunbathed inside.

Forest Cat knows he is the  beautiful one.

Lucy stretching out on the back of the sofa, which gives her a panther`s eye view of birds in the garden.

The Ginger Man .......

....and old Grandma Cat........

.........decide to join Whisper, as it is cooler on the tiles.

Later in the afternoon, a young greater spotted woodpecker is drinking in the birdbath outside the kitchen window.

Give them all a hug from me please! Lovely to see the Woodpecker having a drink too. You have so many birds coming to your feeders and the birdbath now too.

And I expect all those gorgeous cats are watching that young woodpecker very closely.

Your cats are so beautiful, but you don't need me to tell you that do you.
Thanks for commenting about Rupert and Willow, poor Tom was trapped for 1 1/2 hours like that. lol
We have been cat free on the beds for the summer but we notice that now the evenings are getting colder they are gradually creeping back at night, not so good....

Just saw your blog on Sarah - Down by the Sea's blog and came by to say hello. We have five cats and two dogs. We used to have a cat very similar to your first photo - a long haired tabby called Lu-Lu. She could catch cat treats in mid-air with her front paws.

I think you've dropped off my blog list somehow so I've just been catching up. I was wondering why you hadn't posted for a while whereas in fact you've been there all along....sorry! Lovely, lovely cats. Off to remedy the blog list problem....

I somehow missed this lovely post featuring you cats--felines do have that air of just knowing they are beautiful and superior!
